Master Rastra Rai honored by Taekwondo ITF Nepal

Rasta Rai was honored for winning Bronze medal for Nepal in 14 th World ITF championship held in England at Birmingham held on 1st-6th August 2007. He was able to win the bronze medal in the Veterans categories of 70 kg weight group. The chairman of Taekwon­do ITF Nepal Laxman Basnet honored to Master Rai by letter of honors along with Dosalla on 16th December 2007 in Sports-Journalist Forum Hall at National Sports Council, Kathmandu, Nepal.

On the Honor Ceremony Master Rai promised to work together with Taekwondo ITF Nepal for the Development of Taekwondo. In the mean time, Master Rai handover ITF Taekwondo Sparing gear to Taekwon­do ITF Nepal.

Master Rai was born in Diktel , Nepal on 1965. He had started his sports life on aged 10 years old. Master Rai started to learn Taekwondo from Hongkong on 1984 and he won Hong Kong Champion for 5 times in Fly weight Category. He had also won Gold Medal in Korea Open Games on 1987 and UK Freestyle on 1988. Master Rai instructs 300 trainers in his own academy 'Sagarmatha Taekwon­do Dojang' of England.
